¡transición!

hello from Canada!

June 1st officially marked the first day of transition (insert cheering and clapping here)! Don't know what transition is? Well! Let me tell you - transition is a time where both the MC Current and MC Elect share information. It is kind of like a month long conference! We have sessions, work together and have lots of fun too. Each MC elect member gets individual transition from their predecessor as well participates in group sessions. We learn about everything from AIESEC International's (AI) history and the code of ethics to the reality of each LC and how to work as a team.

Over the last week, Stella and Kimmie joined Sebas, Cris, Luci and the current team in Madrid.

Sylvia, Cynthia and myself, however, are still in our home countries, awaiting our visas. We are equipped with a handy toolkit of Red Bull, Tea, Coffee and lots of food (like brownies) while we sit in our rooms on skype doing transition virtually. The three of us have been dubbed the "virtual girls" and are doing transition from 2am - 11am (GMT - 6... there is an 8 hour time difference between us and Madrid). The three of us are constantly chatting while the sessions are going on - keeping each other awake and alert (and of course discussing important information ;)!

Because Stella, Sebas, Kimmie, Cris and Luci miss our beautiful faces (yes, the three of us are the beauty queens of the group!), they have made pictures of us (I haven't seen them yet, but maybe they will post pictures on the blog soon? *hint*). These pictures are in the meeting room with them and the pictures even get to go for lunch with the group!

If you want to know more about the transition agenda or about the experience, message any one of us on facebook, send us an email or leave a comment :)

See you soon! Besos

P.S. Come out to the transition party weekend (that's right! There is a party!!!) Its June 12th-14th - details on facebook :) (or send us an email)
